Regional Products
During your Holten holiday you can see and do a lot in the area of Twente and Salland. There are also a number of products that are typically found in this region.
Don't you think it's special to eat or drink something that's only found in this region? You might never eat or drink it again when you're back at your home! We have written a number things for you to visit and try. You can also eat out at Mölke, they have a child-friendly restaurant.
Ice cream farm ôans
In this farm they make delicious ice from the milk of their own cows. The ice cream is made in a traditional way with creamy milk, without any dyes or preservatives. Pure and honest ice cream! In addition to traditional flavors, they also like to try special new flavors. Currently the range concists of approximately 200 flavors.

Reggezuivel
The family Beunk from Notter have been making dairy products using traditional methods since 2016. On the farm they have more than 100 cows that are milked daily by a milking robot. The familymembers use the milk from the cows to produce their own yoghurt, milk, butter and curds. Reggezuivel hosts a small tour through their farm, so you are very welcome to visit them.

IJsboerderij 'n Mors
In Wierden you'll find icecream farm 'n Mors. The ice cream farm is part of the Discover the Reggestreek foundation. At approximately 15 minutes cycling you can taste and buy their ice cream! It's also possible to make an appointment with them for a tour around the farm. The ice cream is produced according the strictest hygienic standards and comes from the best natural products. Even from our own region!

The local store in Zuna
In this cozy local store you can find most of the local area products! There is cheese from zuna cheese, dairy products from Reggezuivel, veal from Zuna, wine from the Winemakers, beer from Brouwersnös and more delicious products from the region!

Kalfsvlees Zuna
This farmer's (family) company is owned by the Ten Hove family from Zuna. Since 2001 the family has switched to keeping rose calves. In addition to keeping and taking care of these calves, the family also grows corn and grass themselves. This is used to feed the calves, creating firm yet tender rosé meat. This meat contains less saturated fat than other beef, so it can be part of a healthy diet! Curious about this company? Visitor Center Sallandse Heuvelrug
In the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park there is also a visitor center where you can learn more about the landscape of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park and the animals that are here. This also includes the public observatory.
Liberation walking route Sallandse Heuvelrug
Experience the liberation of Twente and Salland in the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. From Holten to Nijverdal a beautiful walking route has been plotted that goes along many remains that remind us of the second world war and the liberation. The walking route starts at the Memory Museum in Nijverdal and ends at the NS station in Holten.
Canadian War Cemetery
In addition to nature, you can see even more in the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. Here is the Holten Canadian War Cemetery, this is one of the largest military cemeteries in the Netherlands with graves of Canadians who fell at the end of the second world war.
